Participation on boards and committees is viewed as an opportunity for CPAs to further develop leadership skills and gain a broader perspective of the profession. In addition, these volunteers are provided an opportunity to influence a profession that touches the lives of most Nebraskans. Committees meet two to three times per year. If you would like to help maximize the power and performance of CPAs in Nebraska, we encourage you to serve on one of the following Society committees. Committee descriptions and current committee members are listed in the Society Leadership section of this booklet. ` Accounting Careers Committee ` Business & Industry Committee ` Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Committee ` Ethics Committee ` Fall Conference Committee ` Governmental Accounting & Auditing Committee ` Not-For-Profit Committee ` Political Education Committee ` Public Policy Committee ` Taxation Committee ` Women in Accounting Committee CPE CATALOG AND MEMBER GUIDE 27 Society Overview
