The decline was not as sharp as the 17.9% drop in the new vehicle market. The state used vehicle market should remain relatively stable in 2022. Depleted new vehicle inventories will boost demand for used cars, but historically high prices will limit any possible sales gains. Lower than anticipated new vehicle sales during the past two years due to the pandemic are starting to impact supplies of late model used cars and light trucks.
