CALIFORNIA USED VEHICLE MARKET 01. 02. The California used vehicle market declined 7.1 percent during the first six months of this year versus a year earlier, compared to the 11.6 percent increase in new vehicle registrations. As shown on the graph to the left, the 7- to 10-year-old market held up relatively well in the first half of this year. Used registrations of 7- to 10-year-old vehicles declined 5.0 percent. The 4- to 6-year-old market declined 10.4% and the 3-year-old or newer market fell 5.4 percent. Honda Civic was the top-seller in the California used vehicle market (see below). 03.
