Upcoming CBA Events Aug. 6 - Aug. 8 2024 Fraud Academy The KBA Fraud Academy is a “first of its kind” two-day school that will train employees at all levels of your institution on fraud risk and what they can do fight it. This program will feature speakers from the United States Secret Service, attorneys from the United States for the Eastern District of Kentucky, Lexington Police Department and other current and former law enforcement experts that will share their experiences and insights to best educate your bankers on how to mitigate fraud risk and ultimately reduce your fraud loss. Aug. 22 - Aug. 23 Women in Banking Conference The 2024 Women in Banking Conference will be held at Hotel Colorado in Glenwood Springs. This conference is packed with presentations from industry experts about issues facing women in the banking industry, interactive learning sessions and opportunities to network and make meaningful connections. Sept. 18 2024 FDIC Banker Outreach Event The Colorado Bankers Association has partnered with FDIC to bring you this important update on current and emerging banking issues. Sessions will be tailored to directors, risk management and consumer compliance staff to bring participants up to date on current economic trends and regulatory issues. Sept. 23 - Sept. 26 2024 Fall D.C. Fly-in Join CBA, and bankers from five of our neighboring states for a trip to Washington, D.C., where you’ll have the opportunity to hear from regulators about the landscape and outlook of the banking industry. We will also be meeting with Colorado’s members of Congress to discuss banking issues. July 10 CFPB 1071 Rule — Understanding the Impact on Small Business Lending in Your Bank The CFPB’s 1071 Rule has been referred to as the most significant effort of data collection and reporting for financial institutions in nearly 50 years. July 23 Property Tax Report Webinar In the last days of the legislative session, the general assembly introduced and passed bi-partisan legislation to address soaring property taxes in Colorado.
