NEW I-9 FORM FOR EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION BY NADA WHAT’S NEW The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) recently released a revised Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, which employers are required to complete for each new employee within three days of beginning employment. The revised Form I-9 can be found by scanning the QR code. https://www.uscis.gov/i-9 WHY IT MATTERS Starting Nov. 1, 2023, all employers must use the new Form I-9 (edition date 08/01/23). WHAT’S DIFFERENT The new form has several revisions to streamline employment verification and reduce the burden on employers and employees. The basic Form I-9 reporting, data input and retention rules remain unchanged.
