T his week, I was able to dive right into the job training grant that NHADA received to train existing employees in Automotive Technology at New Hampshire community colleges. This is an amazing opportunity that we are proud to be able to offer to our members and help their co-op college students. This grant is a two-year program that allows us to spread money over the four college semesters for the life of the grant. Dealers are able to sponsor their co-op employees and submit half of their sponsorship to be reimbursed upon completion of the course. This allows employers to get their employees further training and education and promote within their company. Currently, we are serving 35 students who are attend- ing either Great Bay Community College, Lakes Region Community College, Manchester Community College, or Nashua Community College, and 20 dealerships that they are associated with. If you are a student who will be enrolling into college for the fall 2020 semester and in a co-op program, be sure to stay connected with us as we will begin the process during the upcoming summer months for the fall semester registration.
