ABC New Mexico COMMITTEES APPRENTICESHIP AFFAIRS COMMITTEE ABC New Mexico’s Apprenticeship Affairs Committee supports apprenticeship and workforce development programs by assisting with applicant interviews, program engagement, apprentice support and disciplinary review processes.The committee works to promote professionalism, accountability and workforce excellence within ABC apprenticeship programs. EDUCATION COMMITTEE The Education Committee supports ABC’s professional development and workforce training goals by identifying educational needs, developing annual training schedules, recruiting qualified instructors, promoting training opportunities and supporting member participation in educational programs and classes. GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE ABC New Mexico’s Government Affairs Committee supports advocacy efforts by monitoring state and local legislative, regulatory and policy issues that impact the construction industry.The committee works to advance the principles of free enterprise, merit shop construction, and fair and open competition through industry engagement, relationship-building and communication with elected officials and agency representatives. MEMBERSHIP AND MARKETING COMMITTEE The Membership and Marketing Committee supports the growth, retention and engagement of ABC members through outreach, relationship-building, member visits, referrals and strategic input on membership programs and events.The committee serves as ambassadors for ABC and helps strengthen member involvement and value. SAFETY STEERING COMMITTEE The Safety Steering Committee supports ABC’s commitment to workplace safety, education and industry partnerships by coordinating safety training programs, supporting contractor engagement, managing the CLAS Partnership with OSHA and assisting with partnership verifications and self-assessment reviews.The committee serves as a resource for members by promoting safety best practices and continuous improvement throughout the construction industry. 12 W E L C O M E & C H A P T E R I D E N T I T Y
