The state’s used vehicle market experienced a modest increase of less than 1% in the first half of this year compared to the previous year, while new vehicle registrations declined by 7.7%. The increase in new vehicle prices has likely compelled numerous consumers to transition to the used vehicle market. As shown on the graph to the left, registrations for 3-year-old or newer vehicles increased 7.4 percent during the first six months of this year.
