Five MSAs experienced no change over the month, and six saw monthly employment declines. As of July, all 27 areas experienced positive year-over-year job gains and 15 areas recorded annual growth rates at or above 1.6 percent. • The San Antonio-New Braunfels MSA added 6,800 positions in July, which led all metros both in absolute growth and on a percentage basis over the month. • Following a month of no change, the Fort WorthArlington-Grapevine MD posted an increase of 4,100 jobs in July and achieved a 43rd new series high job count in 46 months. • The McAllen-EdinburgMission MSA either met or set a new series-high employment level for the eighth month in a row with the addition of 600 jobs in July.
