COMPETITION RESULTS • First Place: Rouse High School • Second Place: Waco High School Team 1 • Third Place: Future Ready Complex Team 1 Each member of the winning Rouse team — Winston Brooks and twins Jose and Rafa Segovia — received a $1,000 scholarship from the TSTC Foundation, along with a multimeter and socket set. “The hardest part was the coolant,” Brooks said. “I like that it was a level playing field. The sportsmanship was great.” Matco Tools supplied the equipment used in the competition and provided additional tools as prizes. Second-place finishers each received a multimeter and plier set, and third-place finishers each received a multimeter and magnetic pickup. Every participating student took home an NTXAD tool bag. Competition vehicles and student mentoring were provided by Waco-region dealers, including Allen Samuels Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (Waco), Bird Kultgen Ford (Waco), Mac Haik Ford (Georgetown), Subaru of Georgetown, Toyota of Cedar Park and University Kia (Waco).
