When interest rates rise and the spread between non-maturity deposits and certificates of deposits widen, many will see a shift back into certificates at a higher cost to the bank. He has experience in commercial banking and commercial credit. Matthews earned a bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University and is a graduate of the South Bend Chamber Leadership class. Salin Bank, Indianapolis John M. Belden has joined the bank as community president, serving the Indianapolis and Columbus markets. He has previous banking experience serving as senior credit analyst, special assets bank officer, senior regional commercial credit analyst and officer, and business banking relationship manager and vice president for Regions Bank. Belden volunteers with Meals on Wheels and youth baseball and softball. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University. Jon Marley has joined the bank as community president, serving the markets of Kokomo, Logansport and Carroll counties. He has three years of banking experience with 1st Source Bank, in addition to 40 years of agricultural and sales experience. Marley earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. First Savings Bank, Clarksville Eric Howard has been appointed to chief lending officer. He has 27 years of banking experience, previously serving as chief banking officer, commercial banking executive and commercial relationship manager. He is chairman of Nazareth Villages and is active with Saint Joseph Parish. Howard earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville and is a graduate of the Indiana University Kelley Partnership for Leadership Development. Julie McMahan has been promoted to assistant vice president, branch operations. She has 11 years of banking experience, most recently as technical trainer and assistant to the chief administrative officer. McMahan is active with Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana.
