Elections are scheduled to take place at the annual business meeting of the IBA Annual Convention, set for Sept. ŘŞȬřŖȱȱ ȱ ǯȱ ȱĜȱ ȱ ȱȱěȱ ǯȱŗǰȱŘŖŗśǯȱ ĜȱȱȱȬ¢ȱǯ ȱ ȱ ȱȱĴǰȱ led by immediate past chairman ȱ ǯȱ , STAR Financial Bank, Fort Wayne, has nominated the ȱĜȱDZ ȊȱChairman: ¢ȱ ǯȱ ¢, First ȱ ǰȱ ǰȱ Dz ȊȱFirst vice chairman: ȱ ǯȱ , First Federal Savings Bank, Dz ȊȱSecond vice chairman: Ĵȱ ǯȱ Russell, Security Federal Savings Bank, Logansport. In addition to serving on the IBA ȱȱǰȱĜȱȱȱ ȱ ȱ¡ȱĴǰȱȱ with the immediate past chairman, two appointed directors and the IBA Ȧȱ¡ȱĜǯȱ ȱ ¡ȱĴȱȱȱ- ity to act in lieu of the board between regular board meetings. Larry W. Myers Larry Myers, candidate for chairman, is president and chief ¡ȱĜȱȱ First Savings Bank, FSB, Clarksville. He additionally serves on the bank’s board of directors and as president of the First Savings Charitable Foundation. Myers joined First Savings Bank in ŘŖŖśȱȱȱȱĜȱȱ was named to his current position in 2006. He previously had served since 1982 with National City Bank, most recently as area president of Southern Indiana. Myers is a member of the St. Louis Federal Reserve Community Depository Institutions Advisory Dzȱȱȱȱȱȱ ȱ the American Bankers Association on the community bank council and as a past member of the mutual council. He serves the community as vice chairman of the Lincoln Heritage Council of Boy Scouts of America and through One Southern Indiana- ȱȱ ǯȱ ȱęȱ ȱęȱǰȱ ¢ȱȱ Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. He is a member of the IBA Government ȱ Ĵȱȱȱȱ the IBA board as second vice chairman. Myers earned bachelor’s and MBA degrees from the University of Kentucky, plus completed the Graduate School of Banking of the South and the Cannon Trust School. Myers ¢ȱȱȱ ȱȱęȱ vice chairman and previously was a southeast region board director. Michael H. Head Mike Head, candi- ȱȱęȱȱ chairman, is president, chief executive Ĝȱȱȱ- tor of First Federal Savings Bank, Evansville, which he joined in 1980. He has served as a board member of the University of Southern Indiana Foundation, the University of Southern Indiana School of Business advisory board, Deaconess Health Systems, Habitat for Humanity of Evansville and the St. Mary’s Medical Center Foundation. Professionally Head serves as a member of the Independent Community Bankers of America tax committee. Head earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Indiana and an MBA from the University of Evansville. He currently serves the IBA board as second vice chairman and is a past southwest region director. Additionally he is a member of the IBA Government Relations Ĵǯ Annette M. Russell Ĵȱ ǰȱ candidate for second vice chairman, is chief executive Ĝȱȱ - rity Federal Savings Bank, Logansport. She joined the ȱȱŗşşŗǯȱ ȱęȱȱ- countant, Russell is a graduate of Indiana University-Kokomo, of the Graduate School of Bank Investments and Financial Management and of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. She serves on the board of trustees of Logansport Memorial Dzȱȱȱȱȱȱ ȱ ¢ȱȱ ȱ ¢Dzȱ and on the Reading Railroad advisory board. Past involvement includes service as campaign chair for United Way, on the board for the Cass County Chamber of Commerce and as past chair of the Logansport/ Cass County Economic Development Corp. Russell was granted the Indiana University Kokomo Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2006, was inducted into the I.U. Kokomo Alumni Hall of Fame in 2013, was named Chamber of Commerce Business Woman of the Year for 2007-08 and was named a Rising Star in Banking by NorthWestern Financial Review magazine in 2010.
