IBA Woman of the Year 2024 Danielle Conner, senior vice president of risk management at Owen County State Bank, Spencer, was named the 2024 IBA Woman of the Year. The award, sponsored by Krieg DeVault LLP, recognizes a woman in banking who excels at her profession, is active in her community and supports other women to reach their full potential – whether in banking or other fields. Conner volunteers with nearly a dozen named charitable, civic and economic development organizations, bettering the community where she lives and works – the same community where she grew up – including her local chamber of commerce’s board of directors; the Owen County Community Foundation Board of Directors; Owen County Family YMCA Board of Directors; Spencer Main Street Board; Helping Hands; and the South Central Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association. She also manages the bank’s charitable giving programs and is one of the strongest supporters of its internship program. She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2025 23
