If you weren’t a banker, what would you do for a living? It’s not a very fun answer, but I would probably still be an auditor. Or maybe I would have achieved the lifelong dream of becoming a singer. I can’t sing, though, so here I am! Who or what inspires you? A quiet morning with birds chirping, a beautiful day, a sunset that you want to take a picture of, a drive with the windows down and no destination, and traveling to new places. How do you define success? Happiness. I’d consider someone successful if they were living a life that filled them with joy, regardless of their job, position or status. You can find yourself at the top of the ladder, but it’s only a success if you find the reason you were climbing when you get there. Presumably, the reason is something that brings you joy. What’s your go-to comfort food? Warm biscuits, dumplings, cake and wine. What do you do for fun when you’re not working? I read, which sounds a little lame even to my own ears, but with work and busy kids, time to myself with a book is a dream! Tell us about something on your bucket list. Traveling throughout Europe and reading as much classic literature as I can. What’s your favorite memory? Hands down, getting married and having both of my kids, are all tied for first place. A close second is any time IU beats Purdue. JANUARY/FEBRUARY 2025 37
