2025 KTA Golf Classic If you weren’t in Lexington, Kentucky, on June 12, 2025, you missed out on a great time. The Kentucky Trucking Association Golf Classic, hosted at the University of Kentucky Club’s Big Blue Course, was one of our best outings yet. The weather was perfect, the course was in great shape, and there was lots of fun had by all. Members arrived to some lovely tee gifts sponsored by Liquid Transport, followed by a warm meal and time for warming up on the range, courtesy of HandledNow. We had 68 golfers show up to tackle 6,500 yards of links-style golf, winding through some of Kentucky’s beautiful rolling hills and challenged by numerous water hazards. Mulligans were bought to support the KTA Education Foundation Scholarship, and there were some very impressive scorecards turned in at the end of the round. The Closest to the Pin honors were awarded on two of the par 3 holes on the course, all of which had amazing prizes available for grabs, courtesy of Boyd Truck Centers — our Hole in One sponsor for this year. Our Closest to the Pin Winners were Eric Johnson and Shawn Baker. The Longest Drive honors went to Lindsey Trent on the ladies’ side and Levi Ray on the men’s side. To make the podium, it took a great round of scramble golf. Every single team that competed this year shot a 68 or better. Coming in third place, Boyd Truck Centers shot an impressive 58, narrowly edging out Liquid Transport in a scorecard playoff. Second place, also with a 58 carded, was Redden’s Fleet Maintenance, and with a runaway 54 on the scorecard, this year’s KTA Golf Classic Champions were Pinnacle Financial Partners. We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of the attendees, all the sponsors of this event and the exhibitors who came and handed out cold drinks and good vibes on the golf course. Next year’s Golf Classic is slated for June 11, 2026, at the Oxmoor Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky. Dates and venue subject to change. 8 Kentucky Trucker
