2025 Annual Report

4 delegation of approximately 20 Los Angeles area dealers who conducted more than 50 meetings with State Senators and Assembly Members. Discussions focused on Zero Emission Vehicle mandates, PAGA reform, OEM direct sales initiatives and other legislation affecting our industry. Later in the year, our advocacy continued in Washington, D.C., where GLANCDA partnered with the National Automobile Dealers Association and dealer associations from across the country to advance federal priorities important to franchised dealers nationwide. Equally important is our work here at home. In partnership with our legislative advocacy firm, Kindel Gagan, GLANCDA remained actively engaged with mayors, members of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, city council members, regulatory agencies and other local decision-makers whose actions directly impact our members. We also strengthened our collaboration with organizations such as BizFed and maintained productive relationships with law enforcement leaders throughout the region. While Los Angeles remains one of the world’s most vibrant economic centers, our business community continues to face significant challenges, including one of the nation’s highest tax and fee structures, increasing regulatory burdens, public safety concerns and the ongoing homelessness crisis. GLANCDA will continue advocating for balanced public policies that support economic growth, encourage investment, protect jobs and strengthen the communities where our members live and do business. Our Annual Member Meeting and Luncheon at the Sheraton Universal Hotel once again demonstrated the strength of our association. Nearly 300 dealers, sponsors, industry partners and elected officials attended this outstanding event featuring entrepreneur and civic leader Rick Caruso as keynote speaker and panelist. Opportunities to bring our members together for education, networking and collaboration remain among the most valuable services GLANCDA provides. For more than 50 years, GLANCDA has proudly supported and endorsed the Los Angeles Auto Show. We again provided complimentary ticket packages to every dealer member, helping encourage attendance and stimulate vehicle sales during the show’s nine-day run each November at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The Auto Show continues to be one of Southern California’s premier automotive events and an important showcase for our manufacturers, dealerships and the future of transportation. Addressing the shortage of qualified automotive technicians remains one of our association’s highest priorities. During 2025, GLANCDA hosted tool scholarship presentations, career information events and educational programs on the campuses of more than 10 community colleges throughout Los Angeles County. These efforts help introduce students to the rewarding, high-paying careers available at dealerships that collectively employ more than 30,000 people across our region. We were also proud to welcome more than 700 high school and community college students to Opening Day of the Los Angeles Auto Show and our Automotive Career Day presented in partnership with the CNCDA Foundation. Giving back to our communities remains central to who we are. This year, GLANCDA supported Habitat for Humanity’s rebuilding efforts following the Eaton and Palisades Fires while also providing financial support to organizations including Homeboy Industries, Petra Cares and several Boys & Girls Clubs throughout Los Angeles County. Our philanthropic efforts reflect our belief that strong communities create strong businesses, and we remain committed to investing in organizations that provide opportunity, hope and a brighter future for families and young people throughout our region. Just as importantly, we continue working every day to strengthen relationships throughout our industry. Whether collaborating with our OEM partners, working alongside elected officials, engaging community leaders or promoting the positive economic impact dealerships have throughout Los Angeles County, GLANCDA remains committed to being a trusted, respected and collaborative leader. As the year concluded, our Board participated in a strategic planning process focused on expanding dealer membership and increasing engagement across the association. One exciting initiative already underway is a series of regional informational dinners throughout Los Angeles County, co-hosted by our board members, that will strengthen relationships, encourage greater participation and build an even stronger association for the future. On behalf of our Board of Directors, thank you for your continued confidence, participation and support of GLANCDA. The automotive industry continues to evolve, but our commitment remains constant. Together, we will continue protecting the franchise system, advocating for our members, investing in tomorrow’s workforce, strengthening our communities and ensuring that the more than 300 franchised dealerships we proudly represent remain an essential part of the economic vitality of Greater Los Angeles. It has been an honor to serve as your president, and I look forward with great confidence to all that we will accomplish together in the years ahead.
