LAST AUGUST, NCADA WELCOMED MORE than 200 dealership leaders, sponsors and speakers to the annual Controllers Seminar for a full day of learning, discussion and connection. Now in its 10th year, the event has become a trusted resource for controllers, general managers, office managers and dealership executives seeking real-world strategies to strengthen their operations. The general session speakers delivered an engaging and informative program. Joe Freeman of Adolos Asset Management delivered an economic update exploring current market conditions and key financial trends influencing dealership performance. Richard Vinegar of Vinegar Law provided a primer and update on employment law, guiding attendees through evolving labor regulations and workforce management practices. North Carolina State Auditor Dave Boliek discussed his role in ensuring transparency and accountability in state operations. He also offered perspective on the recent DMV audit, giving attendees valuable insight into the broader regulatory environment. Breakout sessions expanded on the day’s themes, covering financial management, operational efficiency, human capital and compliance. Attendees gained practical tools to strengthen internal controls, improve profitability and prepare their dealerships for continued success in a rapidly changing industry. After a morning of learning, attendees enjoyed a break for lunch and a friendly trivia competition.
