Despite its importance, mental health challenges within the industry often remain overlooked. In fact, 83% of construction workers report having experienced a mental health issue at some point in their careers. In their scholarship presentation, Faro and Alfaro examined the underlying causes of this growing concern, exploring why these challenges persist within the industry and highlighting practical solutions. Their presentation also showcased initiatives from companies in the field that are working to provide meaningful care, support, and mental health resources for their workforce.
