2026 AIA Utah SCHOLARSHIP GOLF TOURNAMENT Recap On July 21, AIA Utah’s Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament teed off in spectacular fashion at Wasatch Mountain Golf Course in Midway, bringing together architects and industry partners for a day of fun, friendly competition and giving back. The tournament was a tremendous success, raising record-breaking funds for scholarships for architecture students at the University of Utah and — for the very first time — Utah Valley University. Every swing, putt and raffle ticket at this year’s event represented an investment in the next generation of architects. One of the highlights of the tournament was seeing students from both schools’ architecture programs out on the course, thanking golfers and sponsors for making these scholarships possible. Participants also enjoyed remarks from Arnab Chakraborty, the dean of the University of Utah College of Architecture and Planning, and David Barker, founder of UVU’s Bachelor of Architecture program, who shared the exciting impact of these scholarships on aspiring architects. A heartfelt thank you to our generous tournament sponsors, whose support ensures that every dollar raised goes directly to supporting student scholarships. And congratulations to this year’s champions — David Brenchley, Steve Goodwin, Jeff Haws and Sandy Sandberg — who posted an incredible winning score of 19 under par. Thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, volunteered and cheered on the golfers. We can’t wait to see you on the course again next year!
