Milestones In 2025, the committee undertook a significant revamp of the ABC RMC Scholarship program. As a result, four scholarship winners were selected and recognized for their achievements. Two recipients were awarded scholarships of $3,000 each, and two additional recipients received $2,000 each, bringing the total awarded by ABC RMC to $10,000. These awards were presented at the ABC RMC Safety Conference and STEP Awards ceremony, highlighting the committee’s commitment to supporting future industry professionals. Safety Committee Chair: Katie Nichols, Director of Safety, Kenny Electric Purpose The Safety Committee is dedicated to providing safety training and education to member companies, with the goal of fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization. Milestones • 2025 Safety Conference: The committee successfully hosted the annual Safety Conference, which was attended by over 75 participants. This event provided valuable insights and networking opportunities for safety professionals across member companies. • STEP Participation: There was a notable increase in the participation of ABC member companies in the Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) program, reaching over 60% of all members. This demonstrates the committee’s commitment to advancing safety standards within the industry. • Safety Lunch & Learns: Two Lunch & Learn sessions were organized, focusing on important safety topics relevant to the construction industry.
