Events Committee Co-Chair: Dawn McCombs, Principal, Avison Young Co-Chair: Jessica Richards, Account Executive Officer, Travelers Bond & Specialty Insurance Purpose The Events Committee is dedicated to delivering value to members and fostering strong connections within the organization. This is achieved through a diverse range of events, including general networking opportunities, sporting events, educational sessions and PAC fundraisers. A core objective of the committee is to ensure each event generates a profit, which in turn supports the chapter’s ongoing initiatives. Milestones ABC Bucks was reinstated as an incentive for members to actively participate in events and other ABC activities. Members can redeem Bucks to purchase auction items during the Annual Holiday Party and Silent Auction. Membership Committee Chair: Jerry Kemper, Projects Account Manager, Colorado Mechanical Systems Purpose The Membership Committee is focused on delivering member value to retain members and recruit new members for growth at the Rocky Mountain Chapter. Growth goals include the following benchmarks: increase total membership by 20%, achieve a 60% contractor ratio and reach 88% retention/ renewals. Milestones Throughout the year, the committee has celebrated key milestones such as regionalizing task forces in Northern Colorado (NoCo) and Southern Colorado (SoCo), which have hosted events tailored for new members, prospects and long-standing ABC members alike. These efforts are designed to strengthen engagement and promote the value that ABC offers through the dedicated work of its committee members. Upcoming In alignment with the committee’s growth objectives and ongoing engagement initiatives, the chapter is also looking to hire a membership director to further drive recruitment and retention efforts, ensuring continued success in meeting ambitious benchmarks and supporting members across the region. Recent activities have included events that foster connections among ABC members and promote collaborative partnerships, such as panel discussions focused on economics, risk management and tariffs, as well as participation in Construction Con at The Ranch Complex in Loveland, highlighting the organization’s strong ties with LOGIC and the wider construction community.
