Young Professionals Co-Chair: Bridger Minnick, Project Engineer, Turner Construction Co-Chair: Ryan Almaleh, Senior Associate Broker, Avison Young Purpose The committee’s objective is to create meaningful opportunities for young professionals to connect, grow and give back through education, networking and community involvement. Throughout the year, the group hosts a mix of professional development and social events designed to strengthen relationships across member companies while reinforcing ABC’s core values of skill, integrity and responsibility. Milestones In 2025, the committee achieved several milestones, including the successful addition of new Lunch & Learn events focused on leadership and industry education, as well as strong attendance across all Young Professional events throughout the year. These efforts have helped enhance engagement, expand professional development opportunities and create more consistent value for members. Upcoming Looking ahead, the committee is also preparing to launch an exciting new initiative, the ABC Rocky Mountain Emerging Leaders Program, which will provide a structured, year-long experience for rising professionals. In 2026, keep an eye out for more events like our Lunch & Learns and community service projects supporting local nonprofit partners. These events continue to reinforce our commitment to developing future leaders while giving back to the communities where we live and build. across the industry. Furthermore, the committee actively promotes collaboration and drives innovation, thereby supporting the sustained growth and advancement of ABC members. Milestones Throughout the past year, the Education Committee continued to provide high-quality educational training to members. Notable offerings included sessions on Strategic Planning and Understanding Prevailing Wages. The committee closed out the fourth quarter with a comprehensive four-part series, Fundamentals of Crew Leadership, further supporting members in developing essential leadership skills and advancing their careers. Upcoming Looking ahead, the Education Committee is planning to expand its range of offerings by introducing workshops on emerging industry trends, fostering peer-to-peer learning opportunities and collaborating with experts to deliver targeted sessions that address current challenges faced by members. By continually adapting its programming, the committee is dedicated to empowering professionals at every stage of their careers and ensuring that ABC’s member companies remain at the forefront of industry knowledge and best practices. Education Committee Co-Chair: Kyle Henry, Turner Construction Co-Chair: Jason Heustis, Adolfson & Peterson Construction Purpose The Education Committee is dedicated to providing comprehensive professional, business, leadership and other educational programs specifically designed to address the needs of member companies. By prioritizing innovative and effective learning methodologies, the committee aims to strengthen professional competencies Government Affairs Committee Chair: Nicholas Siakotos, Risk Manager and Counsel, MTech Mechanical Purpose The Government Affairs Committee proactively reviews and helps establish the legislative agenda for the chapter. The committee is responsible for monitoring current and proposed legislative actions at both the local and state levels that impact members and the construction industry overall. The committee can then recommend lobbying activities to further the legislative agenda. Milestones The committee held a Construction Day at the Capitol in 2025 to create more awareness of the importance of open and fair competition to the industry. The committee provided testimony at the Capitol on six salient bills on behalf of the construction industry. 54
