Community Reinvestment Act Conference Strengthens Banker Engagement Bankers and community leaders gathered in Draper for the UBA’s Community Reinvestment Act Conference on Sept. 25, 2025, a day focused on sharing ideas, building connections and advancing strategies to strengthen Utah communities The program featured two experts from the Kem Gardner Policy Institute: Phil Dean provided an economic update, and Nate Lloyd gave an overview of the organization’s recently published Needs Assessment report. A banker panel provided insights into effective Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) outreach. The conference concluded with an open mic session, which allowed attendees to pose questions, share successes and voice challenges in their CRA programs. In addition to the sessions, participants assembled baby kits for Catholic Community Services, underscoring the spirit of giving back that defines community reinvestment. Some community partners and nonprofits were also in attendance, representing fields ranging from housing to education to healthcare, and bankers were able to engage with them throughout the day.
