Zions Bank Hosts 34th Annual Paint-a-Thon More than 1,200 Zions Bank employees volunteered to help beautify homes, schools and non-profit organizations across Utah for the bank’s 34th annual Paint-a-Thon during the first week of June. In total, nine homes, nine non-profits and four schools received a fresh coat of paint and a refresh of their landscaping, directly or indirectly benefitting thousands of Utahns. An additional seven projects were completed in Idaho. Zions Bank’s Paint-a-Thon began in 1991 as a volunteer project for a dozen homes along Utah’s Wasatch Front. Over the three ensuing decades, Zions Bank employees have set aside summer pastimes for a week each year — volunteering in the evenings after work — to paint 1,331 homes and non-profits throughout Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. Not counting the dollar value of volunteer hours through the years, the bank has donated more than $1.5 million toward beautifying communities in the three states. ZIONS BANK Your Land, Your Plan Fund Awards First Round of Grants Zions Bank, in partnership with Intermountain Health, has awarded more than $85,000 in grants to organizations and municipalities across Utah. The Your Land, Your Plan Fund offers cities, schools, counties and other local public landowners additional resources to enhance their real estate assets by supporting planning projects and community engagement initiatives that help build healthier economies and vibrant communities. Grants were awarded to: • The City of Moab, to support the development of a downtown Main Street master plan. • The City of Ogden, to develop a public asset activation strategy and mapping tool. • R6 Regional Council, to update B and C class roadway mileage reports for all municipalities within the region. • The City of Price, to digitize and update the existing catalog of city-owned real property throughout Price City.
