33 Hoosier Banker December 2015 The Farmers Bank, Frankfort Chad Kozuch has been promoted to senior vice president/chief financial officer/information security officer. He joined the bank in 2010 as chief financial officer after serving for 15 years as an examiner with the Department of Financial Institutions. A certified public accountant and certified management accountant, Kozuch serves as an adjunct instructor at Indiana Wesleyan University. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University and has completed the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado. Mark S. Novak has been promoted to senior vice president/chief credit officer. He joined the bank in 2015 as chief credit officer and has more than 20 years of banking experience, including service as senior analyst with Rabo AgriFinance. Novak earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Butler University. Leah Fulton has been promoted to customer service representative/loan officer. She joined the bank as a teller in 2008 and since has served as vault teller and customer service representative. Fulton is a graduate of Union Bible Academy and of Ivy Tech Community College. iAB Financial Bank, Fort Wayne John F. Blum has joined the bank as first vice president and business banking manager. He has 37 years of banking experience and serves the community as board president of Municipal School District of Southwest Allen County Schools, as alumni representative on the finance and investment committee for the University of Saint Francis, and as a volunteer with Fort Wayne Public Television and the Education Committee of Greater Fort Wayne Inc. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Saint Francis. Lake City Bank,Warsaw Maria K. Murphy has joined the bank as assistant vice president, office manager, Indianapolis office. She has eight years of banking experience, most recently serving with Ameriana Bank. Murphy is a member of OneZone, the Indianapolis Chamber and Young Professionals Networking. She volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana and serves as board member for the Indy Chamber Ambassadors and as secretary and treasurer of BNI Shared Vision Chapter. Kim K. Vermillion has been promoted to office manager, Argos office. She has more than 10 years of banking experience. Logansport Savings Bank Charles Newton has been promoted to compliance officer and internal audit liaison. He began his banking career in 1987 and joined Logansport Savings Bank in 2014. Newton is active with the United Way of Cass County and Logansport Kiwanis, among other organizations. He earned an MBA from Purdue University and has been designated as a certified internal auditor and senior professional in human resources. Joshua Hopper, business development officer, has been promoted to information security officer. He began his banking career in 2005 and joined the bank in 2008. Hopper is active with the Logansport Kiwanis and United Way of Cass County, among other organizations. Rex Betzner has been promoted to vice president, mortgage and consumer lending. He began his banking career in 2001 and joined the bank in 2005. Betzner is active with the Logansport Rotary Club and other organizations. He is a graduate of Indiana University and of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
