35 Hoosier Banker August 2015 Daryl Pomranke, Lakeshore region president, First Merchants Bank, Muncie, has been named to the northern loan committee of the Indiana Statewide Certified Development Corp. for the Indiana Statewide Small Business Association 504 lender program. He served as president and chief executive officer with Citizens Financial Bank prior to its merger with First Merchants Bank. Pomranke serves on the board of trustees, development committee and finance committee for Calumet College of St. Joseph. He is a member of the Franciscan Foundation board of trustees, NIPSCO Community advisory board, Marquette Catholic High School finance committee, and the Catholic Charities – Diocese of Gary board of directors and personnel committee. A certified public accountant, Pomranke earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. Paul Chrisco, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Community Bank Shares of Indiana Inc., the holding company of Your Community Bank, New Albany, and The Scott County State Bank, Scottsburg, has been recognized as the chief financial officer of the year, small public company category, by Louisville Business First. Chrisco began his career with American National Bank and has 22 years of banking experience, including 14 years as chief financial officer. He joined the holding company as a controller in 1997 before being promoted to his current position in 2001. Clayton Crum, assistant vice president, iAB Financial Bank, Fort Wayne, and the bank have been recognized for their 15-year partnership with the Greater Fort Wayne Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Crum serves as board member for the chamber. He and the bank were given awards during the 25th anniversary celebration of the organization. Darrell Blocker, senior vice president and chief financial officer, Springs Valley Bank & Trust Company, French Lick, has been elected director-at-large for the board of directors for the Financial Managers Society during its annual meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona, in June. He will also serve on the executive committee and as chairman of the asset liability committee. Dennis Wayman, president, State Bank of Medora, has been appointed to the board of directors for the Community Foundation of Jackson County. Wayman serves on the Indiana Bankers Association board of directors as southeast region director and is a member of the IBA Forty Year Club. Two associates of IBA-member organizations were elected officers of the board of directors for United Way of Central Indiana. Connie Bond Stuart, regional president, PNC Bank, Indianapolis, was named chair elect of the board. Deborah J. Daniels, managing partner, Krieg DeVault LLP, Indianapolis, was named secretary of the board. Maria Quintana, retired executive vice president of Chase Bank, Indianapolis, was presented with a Touchstone Award by the Indianapolis chapter of Girls Inc. on July 9. The award recognizes area leaders as “sources of inspiration” to girls. Quintana served with Chase Bank for 35 years and was a member of the company’s Indiana leadership team for 16 years before retiring in January.
