Marhenke previously served on the IBA board of directors in the capacity of ABA Membership Council representative. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Northwest Region Directors Benjamin J. Bochnowski is president and chief operating officer of Peoples Bank, Munster, and has served as board member since 2014. He joined the bank in 2010. In addition to serving on the Membership Council of the American Bankers Association, Bochnowski serves on the board of directors of the Dunes National Park Association, the Legacy Foundation, and volunteers with the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities at Purdue and the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, followed by an MBA from ESADE business school in Barcelona, Spain. Bochnowski is a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking, with a leadership certificate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the IBA Future Leadership Division and a past member of the FLD board. Arden L. Cramer is president and chief executive officer of Logansport Savings Bank. He has been in banking for more than 35 years and focused on commercial lending prior to becoming president/CEO in 2010. Cramer has served on numerous boards, including United Way campaign chair and board in Cass County, Chamber chair and board, and Economic Development chair and board. He currently is treasurer of the Region 4 Workforce Board and serves on the business advisory board for Indiana University-Kokomo. Cramer is a graduate of Ball State University, of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin and of the American Bankers Association Commercial Lending Graduate School. Southeast Region Directors Archie M. Brown Jr. has been serving as president and chief executive officer of MainSource Financial Group Inc., Greensburg, since 2008 and as chairman of the board of directors since 2011. Previously he was executive vice president, commercial and consumer banking, of Integra Bank, NA, Evansville, from 2001 to 2008. Brown served with U.S. Bank, Cincinnati — formerly Firstar Bank and Star Bank — from 1989 to 2001, most recently as senior vice president, consumer lending. He is a member of the boards of directors of the Greensburg Decatur County Economic Development Corp., the Indiana Community Business Credit Corp. and the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Brown earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, an MBA from Xavier University and a diploma from the Consumer Bankers Association’s Graduate School of Retail Bank Management. Dennis Wayman is chairman, president and chief executive officer of State Bank of Medora. He joined the bank as a file clerk in 1972 and was named CEO in 1982, president in 1991 and chairman in 2001. Wayman served as a member of the board and as secretary of the Community Foundation of Jackson County and is a past 10-year member of the board of the Medora Community School Corp. In addition to his banking career, he and his wife have been operating a combination laundry and car wash in Medora for more than 35 years. George W. Ferriell is president and chief executive officer of Bath State Bank and president of Bath State Bancorp. He joined the bank as operations officer in 1986 and since has served as executive vice president, security officer, compliance officer, personnel officer, head of the lending division and cashier. He was named to the board of directors of the bank in 1987 and of the holding company in 1988. Previously Ferriell was assistant manager at Household Finance Corp. from 1978 to 1980 and management trainee, branch manager and loan officer at First National Bank of Richmond from 1980 to 1986. A consultant for Junior Achievement at Union County schools for more than 25 years, he serves on the board of directors and executive committee of Junior Achievement of Eastern Indiana. Additionally he is active with the Franklin County Community Foundation. Ferriell is a graduate of Hanover College, of the Midwest Agricultural Banking School, of the School of Deposit Counselors, of the National School of Real Estate Finance and of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Colorado. Southwest Region Directors Matthew W. Howrey is president and chief executive officer of North Salem State Bank. Prior to joining the bank in 2008 as chief financial officer, he served as a bank examiner for the Indiana Department of Financial Institutions. Howrey’s civic involvement includes the Hendricks County Community Foundation, the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County and the Putnam County Economic Development Center. He earned bachelor’s and MBA degrees from Indiana University and was named a Rising Star in Banking in 2013 by NorthWestern Financial Review magazine. Michael L. Baker has been serving as president and chief executive officer of State Bank of Lizton, Brownsburg, since 2012. Previously he served as regional president of First Merchants Bank, NA, and as president and chief executive officer of the Madison Community Bank. Baker serves as president of the Hendricks County Economic Development Partnership. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Ball State University and an MBA from Butler University Kent L. Parisien is president and chief executive officer of The First National Bank of Odon, and he also serves on the board of directors for the bank and its holding company. He joined The First National Bank of Odon in 1995 as vice president, commercial and real estate lending, and was named to his current position in 2006. During his career, Parisien has served on the Association of Military Banks of America Board, the West Gate @ Crane Technology Park Authority Board, and has served as a volunteer coach in football and track at North Daviess High School. He serves as board member of Title Center of Indiana, as board secretary/treasurer of Walnut Hill Cemetery and as treasurer of the Overton Moore Scholarship Board.
