The La Porte Savings Bank in December recognized associates celebrating milestone anniversaries. Among the recognized employees, with more than 20 or more years of service, were: Kim Christiano, operations representative, 25 years of service; Carol Gee, vice president, risk management and compliance, 25 years; and Sandy Schroeder, Coolspring branch manager, 20 years. First Federal Savings Bank, Rochester, celebrates the bank’s 50th anniversary on Jan. 3. Richard E. Belcher was the founder and first president of the bank, and he continues in that role today. The bank is hosting an open house to celebrate, plus will highlight and donate to a local nonprofit organization each month throughout the year. t AnniversAry Milestones A salute to bankers with 20+ years of service Gary Erskine, president of the Anderson region for STAR Bank, Fort Wayne, has retired after 38 years of banking experience. He serves on the finance committee for the Madison County Foundation and on the boards of directors of the Madison County Chamber of Commerce, United Way of Madison County and St. John Hospital Foundation. Leslie W. Kessens, president of The Napoleon State Bank, has announced his retirement effective Jan. 31. He has 34 years of banking experience and has been serving as president since 1990. A graduate of Ball State University, Kessens is active with the Napoleon Volunteer Fire Department picnic. Rodger Winger, vice president and senior lender of Tri-County Bank & Trust Company, Roachdale, has retired after 44 years of banking experience. He has been with the bank for 28 years, serving as loan officer and branch manager; he was promoted to senior lender in 1996. Winger previously served with Production Credit and Farm Credit. He is a member of the Putnam County Foundation, Putnam County Purdue PCARET, Crawfordsville Rotary Club, North Putnam School Board, and he is active with the Putnam County 4-H and youth leagues.
