27 Hoosier Banker October 2016 Two Indiana bankers were among the 2016 graduates of the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado: Bob Hickman, Community First Bank of Indiana, Kokomo; and Vance Monical, Community State Bank, Royal Center. Peter Schmidt, vice president and information security officer, First Bank of Berne, has earned the certified information security manager designation. He joined the bank in Kim Poinsett, vice president community relations officers, First Bank Richmond, NA, has been awarded the 2016 Athena Leadership Award for Wayne County. She received the honor as a result of her professional excellence, community service and assistance with women in their attainment of professional excellence and leadership skills. The New Washington State Bank, Charlestown, has been named “Best Bank” in Clark County by readers of the News and Tribune publication.
