34 Hoosier Banker June 2016 Mike Newbold has announced his retirement as central Indiana region president for Huntington National Bank, Indianapolis, during the summer of 2016. He will serve as a consultant during the transition of John Corbin, his successor. Newbold was named region president in 2006 after serving as executive vice president at Union Federal Bank of Indianapolis from 2003 to 2006; additionally he served as an executive at Bank One and its predecessor American Fletcher for 27 years. Jeffrey K. Espich has retired from the board of directors for iAB Financial Bank, Fort Wayne, and Independent Alliance Banks Inc. A retired Indiana state representative, he serves as senior adviser to Gov. Mike Pence. Espich has served on the bank board since 2008 and has also served as chairman of the board for MarkleBank. Rudy G. Frauhiger has retired from the board of directors for iAB Financial Bank, Fort Wayne, and Independent Alliance Banks Inc. He is a Realtor with Coldwell-Banker Holloway and an auctioneer with Holloway Auction Company Inc.
