Hoosier Banker 39 Who’s watching when controls don’t work as planned? ƐŝĞŵ͘infotex͘ĐŽŵ infotex est. 2000 Laurie A. Rees, vice president-education & training of the Indiana Bankers Association, has completed 25 years of service. She joined the Association in 1991 as secretary to the president. Rees is responsible for planning, designing and implementing IBA educational offerings, including schools, seminars, executive-level forums and webinars. She also manages the Security, Fraud & Risk Management Conference, Midwest Agricultural Banking School, Agricultural Clinic, Cybersecurity Conference and the IBA Leadership Development Program. Among other duties, she is the IBA’s liaison for the Graduate School of Banking (GSB) at the University of Wisconsin and a member of the GSB Education Directors Advisory Group. Rees has been active with Meeting Professionals International and with the Indiana Society of Association Executives, which honored her as Association Professional of the Year in 2009.
