Hoosier Banker 31 Thanks to the support of the Indiana Bankers Association board of directors, last year the IBA began an intense professional development campaign. One outcome of the campaign was the creation of an “Employee of the Month” award to help celebrate outstanding service. Staff are invited to nominate coworkers who demonstrate exemplary spirit of service to members and coworkers. IBA members are welcomed to nominate, as well. IBA’s first Employee of the Month is Susan Clark, events & products/services assistant. Susan’s name was selected on Jan. 27 in a drawing, for which she was awarded an Amazon gift card. Additionally at the drawing, all of the nomination cards were read out loud, bringing recognition to all employees who had been nominated. IBA EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH Susan Clark displays her certificate and gift card as January 2017 IBA Employee of the Month. Each month IBA staff will be treated to a casual day and will gather for an all-staff meeting, followed by an Employee of the Month name drawing and informal lunch. A colorful staff bulletin board – designed by Michelle Long, IBA administrative assistant – features nomination cards, motivational sayings, a listing of upcoming events and staff birthdays, plus a wellness newsletter in promotion of healthy living.
