38 MARCH / APRIL 2017 Joseph G. Pierce has retired as chief executive officer of Farmers State Bank, LaGrange. He joined the bank in 2000 and has 46 years of banking experience. Pierce began his career with Anderson Banking Company and later served as president and CEO of the Randolph County Bank, Winchester. He is a past chair of both the Indiana Bankers Association and the Community Bankers Association of Indiana, and is the only person so designated. Additionally Pierce has been active with the LaGrange County Community Foundation, Parkview LaGrange Hospital, Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, the LaGrange County United Fund and the LaGrange Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of the IBA 40 Year Club and has been named a Sagamore of the Wabash. Daryl R. Tressler has retired as president and chief executive officer of MainSource Bank, Greensburg, after 43 years of service. Tressler joined the bank in 1973, serving in mortgage lending, commercial banking and as president of several MainSource affiliate entities. He was the holding company’s chief banking officer and a director of the bank. Tressler is a member of the IBA 40 Year Club. H. Michael Lawson, president and chief executive officer of Riddell National Bank, Brazil, has retired after 42 years of service. He served as president and CEO for 16 years; Lawson joined the bank as a teller in 1974. He is president of the Wabash Valley Community Foundation and a past director of the Indiana Bankers Association and of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. Additionally Lawson is a member of the IBA 40 Year Club. Donald E. Hall has retired as executive vice president, chief financial officer of DeMotte State Bank, after 18 years of service. Jim Johnson has retired from the board of directors of Jackson County Bank, Seymour, having served since 1984. Johnson retired as president of Midway Supply Corp. and has been active with Rotary International, Jackson County Industrial Development Corp., Seymour Industrial Corp., Seymour Chamber of Commerce and the Community Foundation of Jackson County. John Britton has retired from the board of directors of Jackson County Bank, Seymour, after 21 years of service. Britton is active with the Seymour Boys & Girls Club, Boy Scouts of America, Kid Again Foundation and the James Ambassadors at Ohio State Medical Center. Ralph L. Spurgeon has retired from the board of directors of The Peoples Bank, Brownstown. He began his banking career in 1958 with First National Bank, and he has been with The Peoples Bank since the 1965 merger of First National Bank and Brownstown Loan & Trust Company. Spurgeon is a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. Steve Reynolds has retired as senior vice president of operations and technology of The Farmers Bank, Frankfort, after 43 years of service. Reynolds served the bank as data processor, computer operator/programmer, comptroller and vice president of operations. Additionally he was active with the Frankfort Optimist Club, Moose Lodge, Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, Clinton County Easter Seals and Indiana Easters Seals. Reynolds is a member of the IBA 40 Year Club. Jeni Royalty has retired from The Farmers Bank, Frankfort, after 40 years of service. She joined the bank in 1976 as a teller and later served as head teller, teller operations officer, Bank Secrecy Act officer and security officer. Royalty is a member of the IBA 40 Year Club. DEPARTMENTS STAR Bank, Fort Wayne, celebrated the grand opening of a new Scott Road location on Jan. 11 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The office is located at 10010 Illinois Rd., Fort Wayne, at the corner of Scott and Illinois roads.
