46 JULY / AUGUST 2017 Horizon Bank, NA, Michigan City, has donated $7,500 to the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Northwest Indiana Movement. The funds supported the LaPorte County Goes Red engagement held in April at The Uptown Center in Michigan City. Horizon Bank also recently supported the community by presenting the 2017 Slicer branch scholarship of $1,000 to a graduating senior at LaPorte High School, enrolled to begin studies at Purdue University. The Legacy employees of iAB Financial Bank, Fort Wayne, presented a $1,000 donation in April to the local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Each year, iAB holds a special breakfast in honor of Legacy employees to recognize their years of service and to give them the opportunity to select a charitable organization to partner with by DEPARTMENTS providing aid to the community. The bank additionally provided recent community support by presenting a scholarship to a Harlan Christian School student for tuition for the 2017-18 school year, and by providing four college/university scholarships – in partnership with the Fort Wayne Community Foundation – as part of the iAB Financial Bank Employee Scholarship awards. iAB Financial Bank, Fort Wayne, has awarded its 2017 iAB Financial Bank Employee Scholarship award to four area students. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement and personal qualities such as character, leadership ability and community service.
