Hoosier Banker 49 FIRST FINANCIAL BANK, NA / Terre Haute Brenda “B.J.” Voll has joined the bank as vice president, trust officer. She previously was affiliated with Hilliard Lyons as vice president, trust and estate specialist, estate settlement manager. Her prior experience includes working as major gifts and planned giving officer for Riley Children’s Foundation; as vice president-senior trust administrator for Old National Bank; and as a paralegal in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, and litigation. Voll is an advisory board member for the paralegal studies program at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and also serves on the board of the Clara Fairbanks Foundation Inc. She is a charter lifetime member of the ISU Alumni Association and has a long leadership affiliation with Epsilon Sigma Alpha and membership with the ESA Foundation. Voll also serves as a volunteer with Riley Children’s Hospital, Camp Riley and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She is a former ambassador of the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, a former member of the Downtown Exchange Club, and a former member of the board of directors, serving as president and treasurer, for Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity. Voll has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University, a post-baccalaureate certificate from Roosevelt University, and she has earned designation as a certified trust and financial adviser. She additionally is a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute Personal Trust School and of the American Bankers Association Trust School. COMMERCE BANK / Evansville Alex Wahl has been promoted to senior vice president, credit and compliance manager. He is involved with various organizations, with a focus on activities benefiting individuals living with Down syndrome. Wahl earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and an MBA from the University of Southern Indiana. Diane Tabor has been appointed senior vice president of deposit operations. She joined the bank in 2015 as vice president of deposit operations. Tabor has more than 30 years of local banking experience through First Federal Savings Bank, Old National Bank and United Bank. An accredited ACH professional, she is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. Ashley Johns has been promoted to lead personal banker. She has been with the bank for four years. Before joining banking, Johns served at the Easterseals Rehabilitation Center for 10 years. She attended the University of Southern Indiana. Sara McIntosh has joined the personal banker team. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana. Emily Cunningham has joined the personal banker team. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Indiana. THE FARMERS BANK / Frankfort Kim Compton has been promoted to senior vice president of technology/ operations. She joined the bank in 2016 as vice president of information technology/operations. Compton has been in banking for 18 years, with experience spanning operations, technology, project management and process improvement. A graduate of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Compton has earned certification as a project management professional and in technical writing. Brian P. Carroll has been promoted to vice president/senior commercial lender. He joined the bank in 2015 as vice president/ commercial lender. He started his banking career in Jeffersonville and has 32 years of banking experience in the Indianapolis market, including 19 years managing a commercial lending group. Carroll is active with Premier Capital as a member of the board of directors and loan committee. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Bellarmine College. Andrew V. Cripe has been promoted to vice president/agricultural lender. He joined the bank in 2011 as an agricultural lender, prior to which he served with Monsanto in the seed industry for four years. Cripe is a graduate of Purdue University. Laura Weirick has been promoted to lead mortgage loan processor. She joined the bank as a teller in 2015, prior to which she had been employed with First Federal Savings Bank, Rochester, since 2008. Weirick additionally has experience as an asset recovery specialist. Melissa Joines has joined the personal banker team. She is a graduate of Ivy Tech Community College.
