Through Secure Connect, they also can view current and historical documents, participate in secure online voting and discussion threads, and efficiently review paperless board packets. But how can board members view the bank’s confidential documents at times when they are without access to the internet or Wi-Fi? With CSI’s Secure Connect app, it’s practically business as usual. CSI’s Secure Connect app, available as a free download, provides users the ability to work offline, because the documents automatically download into the device as it syncs with the portal. Using the app, directors can securely view such portal-housed documents as meeting minutes, business proposals or loan review committee notes, even without a wireless connection. For end-users, CSI’s board portal app not only provides a simplified view of the portal, but also allows for actions that cannot be completed on the browser version. For example, on the app they can call up documents such as the bank’s financials for the month and, using touch-screen annotation tools, make handwritten notes, highlight important items, circle typos or include a variety of additional comments – all without Wi-Fi. This ability is particularly convenient with an iPad Pro and its pencil tool. Then, once a wireless connection is reestablished, the marked-up documents automatically upload into the Secure Connect portal for archival purposes. In addition, users can: • Access and review each other’s comments; • Access the user directory; • Utilize the search feature to quickly locate information; • Easily find annotated and bookmarked pages – even on documents that have been revised. Adding to its usability, CSI’s Secure Connect app allows your board secretary and other administrators to remove information from the app after backing up and archiving documents to the website. Administrators also can determine which documents are displayed in the app, can remotely reset accounts, and can wipe a device should it be lost or stolen. If needed, the board can access the full website portal through the app, once connected to Wi-Fi or the internet.
