Susan is IBA’s events & products/services assistant, and Marcy serves as education meeting coordinator. As part of an ongoing professional development campaign, IBA members, associate members and staff are encouraged to submit names of IBA employees in recognition of exemplary service. In IBA’s efforts for continual improvement, member feedback is helpful and much appreciated. HB IBA EMPLOYEES OF THE MONTH Marcy Borden Leon A. Dargis, 80, retired chairman of the board of Harbour Trust & Investment Management Company, Michigan City, died March 14. He co-founded the company IN MEMORY OF in 1997 and retired in 2017. Dargis began his career with Merchants Bank, now Horizon Bank, Michigan City. He served on the board of trustees of Michigan City Area Schools and as president of the board; he also was on the lay board of trustees of St. Anthony Hospital. Dargis co-founded the Coolspring Athletic Association; was a founding member of the La Porte County Park Foundation; and was active with the Kiwanis Club, Rotary Club and the Exchange Club of Michigan City. He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. HB Dave Cornwell, general counsel of STAR Bank, Fort Wayne, has retired after 13 years with the bank.
