40 JULY / AUGUST 2018 Community First Bank of Indiana, Kokomo, has broken ground on its new branch location in Westfield, on the corner of State Road 32 and Oakridge Road. The bank currently has three locations in Kokomo and one in Noblesville. The Westfield branch is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2018. Lake City Bank, Warsaw, has announced plans to open a new full-service office in downtown Indianapolis at 101 W. Ohio, on the southwest corner of Ohio and Illinois streets. Anticipated to open in early fall, the office with be the sixth for Lake City Bank in the Indianapolis market and the 50th for the company. STAR Bank, Fort Wayne, hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for its new branch in Muncie. Located at 3701 N. Broadway Ave., the facility was constructed by The Hagerman Group. DEPARTMENTS Farmers State Bank, LaGrange, celebrated the groundbreaking of the new LaGrange retail office project in April. This new retail banking location will serve as the customer banking center for all teller and loan transactions, while the current FSB building will become the operations center. Construction is due to be completed this fall. Centier Bank, Merrillville, broke ground on its Elkhart-North branch on May 10, using heavy machinery to strike dirt for the ceremonial act. Representatives from the city of Elkhart, Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, Holladay Properties and Centier Bank took part in the event. The 1,600-square-foot facility is to feature personal retail banking services, 24-hour EZ deposit ATM access and drive-through services.
