He began his career in 1998, with experience including service as president and CEO of The Scott County State Bank and as regional president for Your Community Bank. Whitlock is president of the board of the Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce, a member of the finance committee for the Scott County Community Foundation and a past board member of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeast Indiana. He is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana and of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Melody BirminghamByrd, president of Duke Energy Indiana, has been elected to the boards of directors of 1st Source Corp. and of 1st Source Bank, South Bend. She has 24 years of leadership and managerial experience in the electric power generation and automotive manufacturing industries, and she currently serves on multiple boards, including the Indiana Electric Association, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Special Olympics Indiana, Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, The American Association of Blacks in Energy, and the United Way of Indiana. She also serves on the Financial Research Institute advisory board of The Robert J. Trulaske Sr. College of Business, University of Missouri. Birmingham-Byrd earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, an MBA from Strayer University, an honorary doctorate from Saint Mary of the Woods College, and she is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University. Lisa W. Hershman, deputy chief management officer, U.S. Department of Defense, has been elected to the boards of directors of 1st Source Corp. and of 1st Source Bank, South Bend. She has 31 years of leadership and management experience and has been serving in her position with the Department of Defense since April. Hershman is on the Indiana Commission for Higher Education. Previously she served as chair of Avnet Inc.’s Executive Women’s Forum, as national secretary of the Business and Professional Women’s Organization and as commissioner on the Indiana Commission for Women. She has been active with the Center of Interactive Learning and Collaboration, the Consortium for Advanced Management International, the Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series, and the Entrepreneurship Center of Miller College of Business at Ball State University. A graduate of Clarkson University, Hershman holds executive certificates from IMD/MIT and Cornell University. Ryan C. Kitchell, executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Indiana University Health, has been named to the board of directors of Old National Bancorp, Evansville. He previously served IU Health as chief financial officer, as president of IU Health Plans and as treasurer. Kitchell had prior experience as public finance director and as director of the Office of Management and Budget. He currently serves on several boards, including the Indiana Sports Corp., Mitch Daniels Leadership Foundation, Boy Scouts of America Crossroads Council, the Indiana Motorsports Commission, the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce and NICO Corp. A chartered financial analyst, Kitchell earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and an MBA from Dartmouth College. Thomas E. Salmon, chairman and CEO of Berry Global Inc., has been named to the board of directors of Old National Bancorp, Evansville. He has more than 20 years of manufacturing experience. Salmon joined Berry Global in 2003, was appointed to the board of directors in 2017, and most recently served as president and chief operating officer. Salmon previously served with Honeywell Plastics, Allied Signal’s Engineering Plastics and Films, and GE Plastics and GE Lighting. Salmon earned a bachelor’s degree from Saint Bonaventure University. Lex J. Hunter, director of business development for Micropulse Inc., has been elected to the boards of directors of Ossian State Bank and of Ossian Financial Services Inc. He has been involved in sales and marketing for 30 years, focusing the past 18 years in the medical and healthcare sectors. Hunter is a graduate of Ball State University. Donna J. Lehman, co-owner of Lehman & Company PC, Noblesville, has been appointed to the board of directors of The Farmers Bank, Frankfort. Prior to founding the company, she worked in Indianapolis as a certified public accountant for Norkus & DelFabro CPA and for George S. Olive CPA. Lehman is a member of the Indiana CPA Society and the Farm Bureau Inc. of Hamilton County. She previously was active with Hamilton County 4-H, Hamilton County Extension Homemakers, and the North Elementary and White River Elementary parent teacher organizations.
