Hoosier Banker 49 Gregory J. Cagnassola, partner and counsel for DeFur Voran LLP, Fishers, has been appointed to the board of directors of The Farmers Bank, Frankfort. He previously worked as corporate counsel and tax analyst for Inland Container Corp. and as internal auditor for Ball Corp. Cagnassola has served on boards with Fishers Music Works, Boilermaker Business Exchange and Hamilton County YMCA; and as a member of the Hamilton Southeastern Academy of Finance, Purdue University President’s Council, Indiana State Bar Association, and the Hamilton County and Indianapolis bar associations. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University and a JD from Indiana University. Michael Ivy, owner of SquareFrame Industries, has joined the board of directors of Security Federal Savings Bank, Logansport. Additionally he is CEO and chairman of the board of S&S Programming, Lafayette. Among other activities, Ivy has served as a mentor for the SANS Institute and on the advisory board of the Ivy Tech School of Applied Science & Engineering Technology. He has cofounded two technology companies and has served as information security officer for an internationally recognized informatics and healthcare research organization. Pete Smith, a consultant for Performance Services, Indianapolis, has joined the board of directors of Community First Bank of Indiana, Kokomo. He retired from education in 2016 and currently is active with the Hamilton County 50 Club, Noblesville Elks Lodge and Bryce William Mitchell Memorial Foundation. Past community involvement includes the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club and the Bridgewater Club. In 2007, Smith was selected as an Indianapolis Colts Community Quarterback for service to the Hamilton County community. He is a graduate of Bethel College. Roger Cummings has retired from the board of Alliance Bank, Francesville; he had been serving on the board since 1985. He previously served the bank as president, CEO and trust officer, retiring in 2010. Cummings joined Peoples State Bank of Francesville, later Alliance Bank, in 1980 after prior work experience; he was named president and CEO in 1992. He is a past chairman of the Community Bankers Association of Indiana, past board member of the Indiana Bankers Association, and he previously served on the regulatory review committee of the Independent Community Bankers of America. His community service has included the Humanitarian Distribution Center, Francesville Lions Club, Pulaski West Developers Inc., Francesville Fall Festival, Pulaski Community Development Commission, Junior Achievement of Pulaski County and the Jasper Foundation. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Cummings served in Vietnam. He is a graduate of International Business College and of the School of Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin. C. Thomas Cone has retired from the board of directors of Greenfield Banking Company. A retired partner of Williams, Cone & Billings attorneys at law, he joined the board in 1970 and has been designated as director emeritus of the bank in recognition of his service. Michael Alan Henegen, 60, compliance officer with Salin Bank, Indianapolis, died June 1. He had been with the bank for 11 years, prior to which he served in banking for nearly 30 years with Regions Financial Corp., Union Planter Bank and INB. Previously he had been an entrepreneur in the restaurant business. Henegen was a graduate of Indiana University. HB IN MEMORY OF
