Hoosier Banker 47 Chris Campbell, senior partner in lending at Centier Bank, Merrillville, has been appointed to the bank’s board of directors. He joined Centier in 2006 and most recently served as market president for business bankers servicing Lake, Porter, La Porte, Marshall, St. Joseph and Elkhart counties. Prior to joining the bank, Campbell worked at the Nasdaq Stock Market and was vice president of trading at Legg Mason. Zachary W. Bawel, president and chief operating officer of Jasper Engines & Transmissions, has been appointed to the board of directors of German American Bancorp Inc., Jasper. He also has been appointed to the board’s compensation committee, and to the board of directors of German American Bank. He has served since 2013 on German American’s regional advisory board for the Dubois, Perry, and Spencer county markets. Bawel has more than 30 years of sales, distribution and management experience with Jasper Engines. He serves on the company’s executive committee and board, and he was named president in 2011. He also is a member of the advisory board of WireCrafters LLC. Bawel earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University. Monica Peck has been named to the board of directors of Community First Bank of Indiana, Kokomo. She co-manages commercial real estate properties and is a former co-owner of Hare Auto Group. Peck has been active with Noblesville Schools, Noblesville Parks Foundation, Boys and Girls Club FROM THE BOARD ROOM of Noblesville and the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce. Among other awards, she has been named to the Forty Under 40 list of the Indianapolis Business Journal and recognized as Business Person of the Year by the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce. Peck is a graduate of Indiana University. Tim Leman, chairman and CEO of Gibson, South Bend, has been appointed to the board of directors of Centier Bank, Merrillville. Rich Carlton, president and chief operating officer of Data Realty LLC, South Bend, has been appointed to the board of directors of Centier Bank, Merrillville.
