Patterson, Indiana Department of Financial Institutions Three associates of IBA-member banks were named to the “20 Under 40” class of 2019 in the Oct. 1 edition of The Times of Northwest Indiana. They were chosen for their contributions to the business community and the community as a whole. Honorees are: Nathan Cobbs, Harbour Trust & Investment Management Company, Michigan City Donna Gin, Peoples Bank, Munster Jason Harris, Centier Bank, Merrillville. HONORABLE MENTIONS Annette M. Russell, president and CEO of Security Federal Savings Bank, Logansport, has been named to the Ivy Tech Kokomo Campus board of trustees. She has been with the bank since 1991. Russell is a past chair of the Indiana Bankers Association and serves on the American Bankers Association Community Bankers Council. Active in various organizations in Logansport and Cass County, she was honored with the Indiana University Kokomo Alumni Association’s Distinguished Alumni Award in 2006, inducted into the IU Kokomo Alumni Hall of Fame in 2013, and named Chamber of Commerce Business Woman of the Year for 2007-08. A certified public accountant, Russell is a graduate of Indiana University Kokomo, the Graduate School of Bank Investments and Financial Management, and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. Clayton Rose, German American Bank, Jasper, has been appointed to the Indiana University Alumni Association executive council. He serves the bank as branch manager in Sellersburg. Rose is a graduate of Indiana University-Southeast, where he currently is pursuing a master’s degree. Andrew Burakiewicz, director of Treasury management at Citizens State Bank, New Castle, has earned designation as a certified Treasury professional from the Association for Financial Professionals. Burakiewicz joined the bank three years ago after prior financial services experience and is a graduate of Hanover College. Two members of the Indiana banking community were awarded diplomas from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado at a ceremony on July 25. Wells Fargo, San Francisco, was one of eight banks nationwide recognized on Oct. 29 at the American Bankers Association’s annual convention with an ABA Community Commitment Award. The award, presented by the ABA Foundation, recognized the bank for its NeighborhoodLIFT program. The program is a collaboration with NeighborWorks America and its network members, offering homebuyer education and down payment assistance grants for lower- and average- income households. With a $500 million investment by Wells Fargo since 2012, LIFT programs have assisted 22,000 homeowners in 900 municipalities across the United States.
