Hoosier Banker 53 STAR Bank, Fort Wayne, is teaming up with Zionsville Community High School to operate a fully functional branch, with students working side-by-side with bankers during school hours for an immersive learning experience. The financial center is to be located adjacent to the Zionsville Performing Arts Center, allowing community members to access both the box office and STAR Bank from one secure entrance. Additionally, through a commitment to improving the technology, lighting and sound in the auditorium, the Performing Arts Center will officially become the STAR Bank Performing Arts Center. HB jerseys; $5,000 through a sponsorship with Richmond Art Museum for its annual Secret Garden Tour; $5,000 through a sponsorship with Christian Charities for its annual golf tournament, providing the Backpack Blessings program to elementary students in need; and $10,000 to Richmond Symphony Orchestra through an annual sponsorship. First Bank Richmond employees, friends and family participated in the Wayne County Relay for Life event last spring. The bank’s corporate sponsorship, in-house fundraising, employee pledges and contributions totaled $9,500 in donations for the organization. Additionally, the bank is a community partner of Every Child Can Read’s 3rd Grade Academy, a local literacy program. Members of the bank team and community met in June to focus on reading experiences, and the bank donated $1,000 to the organization’s partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Alliance Bank, Francesville, presented a check for $1,380 in September to Hope Springs Safe House, Attica, to further its mission of providing a safe place for domestic violence victims and their children. The home offers assistance to help victims in Fountain and surrounding counties to recover and rebuild their lives. The contribution represents $690 in employee donations and a match from the bank.
