She joined the bank in 2003 as a customer service representative and has since served in positions including assistant vice president, auditor and digital services specialist. Spurlock is a graduate of Indiana University East and of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. She currently is enrolled in the American Bankers Association School for Compliance. Justin Ratz has been promoted to vice president, commercial lending officer. He joined the bank in 2017 as a commercial loan officer. Ratz is a graduate of Indiana University and of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Additionally, he has earned a certificate of executive leadership from the UW School of Business. FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS BANK / Rochester Kristy Ottinger has joined the bank as mortgage loan originator. She has 17 years of professional experience including mortgage, private banking and commercial lending. Ottinger is active with Upstate Alliance of Realtors and Home Builders Association of Fort Wayne. A graduate of Purdue University-Fort Wayne, she has completed the Indiana Bankers Association Commercial Lending School. THE FARMERS BANK / Frankfort Alan A. Oyler has been promoted to vice president/senior commercial banking officer. He joined the bank in 2015 as vice president/commercial lender and has more than 35 years of commercial banking experience in central Indiana. Oyler is a graduate of Purdue University and of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Josh Kline has been promoted to commercial banking officer. He joined the bank in 2015 as a teller/customer service representative in branch administration, and he most recently served as junior relationship manager. Kline is a graduate of Hobe Sound Bible College. Carroll Valentino has been promoted to vice president/risk management officer. She joined the bank in 2005 and has more than 30 years of banking experience, specializing in external and internal auditing and operational risk management. A certified public accountant, Valentino earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. Andrew Cripe has been promoted to vice president commercial/agricultural banking. He joined the bank in 2011 as an ag lender, prior to which he worked for Monsanto in the seed industry for four years. Cripe is a graduate of Purdue University. HORIZON BANK / Michigan City Amber Cable has been promoted to executive assistant. She joined the bank in 2017 as administrative assistant. Cable previously served for eight years in administration at a local university. THE PEOPLES BANK / Brownstown Julie Cornett has been promoted to senior vice president, finance and accounting/auditor/head compliance officer. She joined the bank in 1994 as internal auditor and compliance officer, and later she was promoted to assistant vice president and vice president. Cornett is a graduate of the University of North Dakota. Brian Sommers has been promoted to senior vice president/chief lending officer/security officer. He joined the bank in 1989 as a loan officer and since has served as branch manager, assistant vice president and vice president. Sommers has completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Bryan Stahl has been promoted to senior vice president/operations officer/IT manager. He joined the bank in 1997 as a part-time teller while attending college. After graduation he became a full-time employee in the information technology department, and he later served as assistant vice president and vice president.
