Hoosier Banker 59 Renee Cone has been promoted to branch banking officer, South Whitley branch manager. She joined the bank in 2003 as a part-time teller, South Whitley, and later became a full-time teller. Cone was named assistant branch manager at the Columbia City location in 2011. A graduate of the Leadership Whitley County program, Cone attended Ivy Tech Community College and Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne. CROSSROADS BANK / Wabash Jeff Altmiller has been promoted to vice president branch manager, Peru location. He joined the bank in 2016 as an assistant vice president branch manager. Altmiller has more than 30 years of banking experience, and he also served as a corporate security officer. He is treasurer of United Way of Miami County, a board member of the Miami County YMCA and foundation chairman of the Peru Rotary Club. Altmiller earned a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Indiana University-Kokomo. Kris Shoemaker has been promoted to vice president of commercial operations. He joined the bank as credit analyst in 2011 and was promoted to assistant vice president of commercial operations in 2017. A graduate of Manchester University, Shoemaker has completed the Leadership Development Wabash County Program. Becca Pritchett has been promoted to digital banking officer. She joined the bank in 2018 as e-banking administrator and is a member of the bank’s innovation committee. Pritchett is a graduate of Indiana University-Kokomo and a member of the class of 2019 of the Indiana Bankers Association Leadership Development Program. Joseph Grant has been promoted to commercial lender, Columbia City branch. He joined the bank in 2007 as assistant branch manager, South Whitley location, and was promoted to vice president branch manager, South Whitley, in 2018. Grant previously worked at 1st Source Bank while attending college. He has been active with the Whitley County Chamber of Commerce, South Whitley Community Facilities Inc., R-E-A-C-H Program and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Grant earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and an MBA from Ball State University. Kathy Jones has been promoted to assistant vice president, retail loan manager. She joined the bank in 2018 as retail loan manager. Jones previously served at First Farmers Bank & Trust Company, Converse, as a mortgage loan officer, branch manager and mortgage loan officer trainer/compliance liaison. She also had prior experience as lending underwriter with a credit union. Jones serves as secretary/treasurer of the Parkview Wabash Foundation and is a member of Tri Kappa. Past community involvement includes leadership positions with the Wabash County Chamber of Commerce, American Red Cross Northeast Chapter, Wabash Garden Fest and the Northeast Indiana Longbeards Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Jones is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University. Jeanetta Slabaugh has been promoted to assistant vice president branch manager in Syracuse. She joined the bank as a part-time teller in 2007 and later became a fulltime teller. Slabaugh was named assistant Syracuse branch manager in 2011 and was promoted to branch banking officer, Syracuse branch manager, in 2018. She previously worked at Realty World and Oakwood Resort. Slabaugh is a member of Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce, treasurer of Wawasee High School Building Trades and a volunteer for Tour des Lakes. She is a graduate of the Beer School of Real Estate. CENTIER BANK / Merrillville Dan Gibson has been appointed talent development manager, assistant vice president in the human resources department. He has more than 15 years of related experience, including six years with Centier Bank. Gibson previously worked in the public education sector and as an eLearning coach. He is a member of the Association for Talent Development, International Society for Performance Improvement and a volunteer with Junior Achievement. FARMERS & MERCHANTS STATE BANK Archbold, Ohio Brad Stanfield has been appointed vice president, commercial banker, for the greater Fort Wayne office. He has 39 years of retail and commercial banking experience. Stanfield is active with various community organizations, including JDRF, Habitat for Humanity and Mustard Seed Furniture Bank. He is a graduate of Ball State University and has completed the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin.
