Hoosier Banker 25 Community First Bank of Indiana, Kokomo, opened a branch at 17661 Village Center Dr., Noblesville, on Feb. 17. Features include an ATM, night drop and coin machine. The branch is served by Joshua Faudree as manager and Scott Hammersley as commercial loan group manager. A grand opening with the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce took place in March. Merchants Bank of Indiana, Carmel, hosted a ribbon-cutting and grand opening for its new Richmond branch on Feb. 21. The 11,286-square-foot building is located in downtown Richmond and will house more than 20 employees with room for future expansion. Coined as the “Grand Hop-ening,” the ribbon cutting ceremony featured a special appearance from Merchants’ frog mascot named Hopper. Richmond Mayor Dave Snow, Wayne County Chamber of Commerce CEO and President Melissa Vance, and Chairman and CEO of Merchants Bancorp Michael Petrie spoke at the event. HB BANKING CENTER NEWS First Savings Bank, Clarksville, hosted a ribbon-cutting and grand opening on Feb. 14 for its new branch located at 3538 E. 10th St., Jeffersonville. The press and public were invited to view the new facility and register for prize drawings. Nancy Boman serves as branch manager and Cheryl Seeders is mortgage lender at the facility. Kentland Bank opened a new office located at 612 E Dunlap St., Kentland, in January. The new location serves as headquarters for KenBancorp, the bank’s holding company, and additionally serves as an operations center for the bank. STAR Bank, Fort Wayne, hosted a ribbon-cutting and open house on March 3 at its new location at 46 Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis. The 12,500-square-foot space, which formerly housed Indianapolis Monthly magazine, includes a ground floor financial banking center and two and a half floors of additional office space. The opening event included comments from Tom Wright, STAR president; Scott Bove, STAR regional president, and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett.
