Shane Carey has joined the board of directors of Grant County State Bank, Swayzee, and of Grant County State Bancshares Inc. He fills a board opening created by the retirement of Joe Wiley, who served for 21 years. Carey is president of Peerless Machine and Tool Corp. and previously was employed with Navistar International Corp. He is a graduate of Purdue University. Trent Dailey has joined the board of directors of Grant County State Bank, Swayzee, and of Grant County State Bancshares Inc. He fills a board opening created by the retirement of Dave Pence, who served for 21 years. Dailey is CEO/owner of Insurance Management Group and co-owner of BDP Real Estate. He previously was employed with Microsoft Corp. Dailey is a graduate of Purdue University. HB Nashelle Frazier, assistant vice president and financial empowerment officer of Old National Bank, Evansville, has been named to the IBA Future Leadership Division Advisory Board. At the bank, she is responsible for building and maintaining community partnerships and for promoting financial education and empowerment. Frazier joined Welcome, New FLD Advisory Board Member FLD Coffee Club meetings are another example of bankers evaluating challenges and planning a strategy to get results. We now have a pandemic-proof plan for bringing FLD members together, even if a COVID-19 resurgence occurs and people need to resume working from home. We look forward to holding in-person events again, like the FLD Leadership Conference scheduled for Aug. 27-28. Until then we will continue to push on to whatever comes next, just like the banking industry has always done. HB Andy Wernsman has been elected chairman of the board of directors of State Bank of Lizton, Brownsburg, effective April 2021. He is to replace Don Geisler upon his retirement next year. Wernsman serves as general manager of Bill Estes Ford in Brownsburg. He joined the bank board in 2015. Kevin McGrath has been appointed to the board of directors of State Bank of Lizton, Brownsburg. He has 40 years of experience in public accounting. McGrath previously served as CEO of Crowe Global, prior to which he was managing partner of the Indianapolis office and of the financial services practice nationwide. He has served on the boards of Junior Achievement of Indianapolis, the Indianapolis 500 Festival, the Catholic Community Foundation and the Indianapolis Civic Theatre. McGrath is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College. Jim Seitz has been elected vice chairman of the board of directors of 1st Source Bank, South Bend. Concurrently, his former position of president has been assigned to Andrea Short. Seitz was elected president of the bank in 2012 and of 1st Source Corporation in 2014. He is active with the Community Homebuyers Corp., St. Anthony de Padua Church, the Juvenile Diabetes Association, the Regional Development Authority, the Chancellors Advisory Committee at Indiana University South Bend, and the Indiana University and Notre Dame alumni associations. Seitz earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Notre Dame. He has announced plans to retire in the spring of 2021. Dana Dumezich has been appointed to the board of directors of American Community Bank of Indiana, Saint John. She has been active with the Lake County Election and Registration Board since 2013 and helped guide a new Indiana state law relating to ONB in 2006 and has served in a variety of roles, most recently as a banking center manager. She has 19 years of retail banking experience. Frazier co-chairs the Old National Bank Women L.E.A.D. Resource Group and is a mentor with the bank’s Achieve Ability program. Additionally, she is a member of the board of directors of Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis. Frazier is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, where she currently is pursuing an MBA.
