18 SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER 2020 ARTICLE SPOTLIGHT With the 2020 BANKPAC fundraising season underway, we wanted to highlight a few of the changes you can expect to see with BANKPAC this year. The goal of these changes is to increase the level of recognition bankers receive for their generous giving to BANKPAC and to help modernize the ways you can give to BANKPAC. Although COVID-19 has placed restrictions on how daily life continues, elections and campaign fundraisers are still taking place, albeit at times in a virtual manner. It is critical that the Indiana Bankers Association and BANKPAC remain engaged in the current election cycle and support those who support legislation favorable to a healthy banking environment. To modernize the ways bankers give to BANKPAC, you’ll now be able to contribute to BANKPAC via an online credit card module at indiana.bank/bankpac. Not only will this give you an easy, more efficient way to contribute, but this could allow BANKPAC to reach more bankers who might not have participated before. Indiana BANKPAC provides the IBA with the tools required to be effective in advocating for the banking industry. We could not be as effective as we are without the partnership and support from you through contributions to Indiana BANKPAC. For this reason, we are placing more emphasis on celebrating and thanking the generosity of bankers for their continued support of BANKPAC. To do this, we’ve created BANKPAC contributor recognition levels to enable us to appropriately recognize supporters at IBA events, in IBA printed materials and other areas. In addition to the recognition levels shown below, there will be a focus on bank board of director involvement through a designated “Director’s Level” for board members who give $250+. We hope these updates give you a more convenient way to support BANKPAC while streamlining the processing of contributions. We also aim to give BANKPAC supporters the level of recognition they deserve.
