Ron Zeltwanger, senior vice president, community banking group head, has been assigned to oversee retail banking services and personnel. He joined the bank in 2001 and has served in multiple capacities, including regional president. Most recently Zeltwanger was senior vice president, community and electronic banking, and he currently serves on or chairs multiple bank committees. Additionally, he is in leadership positions with the St. Joseph County Hotel-Motel Tax Board, Bremen Development Corp. and the 1st Source Foundation. Zeltwanger earned a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, an MBA from the University of Notre Dame, and he attended the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Larry Mayers, senior vice president, business banking group head and Fort Wayne regional president, has been assigned to oversee additional business banking units, including national solar financing program, SBA lending, retirement planning services and Treasury services. He has been with the bank for 13 years and in the banking industry for more than 30 years. Mayers serves or has served on the boards of the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center, Junior Achievement, Fort Wayne Urban League, United Way of Allen County, Park Center Inc., Bishop Dwenger High School, St. Jude School and the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre. He is a graduate of Hanover College. 1ST SOURCE BANK / South Bend Shelli Alexander, senior vice president, business banking manager, has been promoted to regional president, central region. She joined 1st Source as a business banker in 2012 after 18 years of experience in banking and as an entrepreneur and business owner. In 2015 Alexander helped initiate the bank’s solar financing business. She serves on the board of the South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce and previously was active with the South Bend Rotary Club, Indiana University South Bend Alumni Association board and River Bend Cancer board. Alexander earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University-South Bend, an MBA from the University of Notre Dame Executive MBA program, is a graduate of the Leadership South Bend/Mishawaka program and completed the Indiana Bankers Association Leadership Development Program. John Griffith, executive vice president, chief administrative officer, has been assigned to oversee wealth advisory services and insurance units. Chris Strafford, senior vice president, remains head of wealth advisory services. Griffith joined 1st Source in 2001 as general counsel of the corporation and bank, prior to which he was a partner with two Chicago law firms. He is active with organizations including Junior Achievement, the South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestra, Marian High School in Mishawaka and St. Joseph High School in South Bend. Griffith serves as an adjunct professor for the University of Notre Dame Law School, is vice chair of the general counsels group of the American Bankers Association and is a member of the chief risk officer group, Super Community Bank Forum. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Washington University and a JD from Cornell University. Kevin Murphy, senior vice president, has been promoted to group head of information technology, marketing and digital strategy. He joined the organization in 2006 and since has led IT, consumer and electronic banking; worked in Treasury services; and managed the central region banking centers.
