Hoosier Banker 59 First Bank Richmond made several contributions in August, donating $4,140 to Every Child Can Read, Pro for Parkinson’s Golf Tournament, IWIN Golf Tournament and the Junior Achievement Golf Tournament. The bank also donated: $1,500 to Girls Inc. of Shelbyville; $5,000 to Shelby County United Fund; $5,000 to Main Street Centerville; and $5,000 to Cardinal Greenways, a not-for-profit organization that encompasses the Cardinal Greenway, White River Greenway, Historic Wysor Street Depot and Cardinal Equestrian Trail, comprising the longest railtrail in Indiana. This investment is part of Chase Bank’s New Skills at Work initiative and new $30 billion commitment to advance racial equity and to drive an inclusive economic recovery. Working with both private and public sectors, a $7 million commitment to Indianapolis will help underserved students access real-world work experiences that could lead to high-wage, in-demand jobs. FROM THE BOARD ROOM Andy Royalty has been elected to the boards of directors for Jackson County Bank, Seymour, and Bancorp of Southern Indiana. He is president of four Seymour businesses: Royalty Companies of Indiana Inc.; TDAK Development Inc.; Majestic Facility Experts Inc.; and Reign Tight Roofing Systems Inc. Royalty began his career as a plant manager at Regal Industries Inc. from 1990 to 1995 and started his roofing company, Royalty Companies, in 1996. He is president of the board of Community Foundation of Jackson County, a board member of Seymour Industrial Corp., an executive board member of Trinity Lutheran High School and previously was active with the Seymour Boys and Girls Club. Royalty is a graduate of Indiana State University. HB State Bank of Lizton, Brownsburg, has changed its named to State Bank, Brownsburg, to allow flexibility to grow new opportunities. The bank also has updated its URL to: StateBank1910.bank. State Bank currently has offices in Avon, Brownsburg, Plainfield, Lizton and Pittsboro in Hendricks County; and Lebanon and Zionsville in Boone County.
